What is the Chain of Survival? More....
ILCOR (The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)
and ERC (European Resuscitation Council), both maintain that
the highest potential survival rate from cardiac arrest can
be achieved only when all elements of the chain of survival
are combined.
Is there any difference between brands of AED?
All AED's are manufactured to achieve the same end, to save
lives. As with all products, in all walks of life, some are
manufactured better, some are designed better, and some have
better safety features..
Sometimes these differences are purely subjective, while
in others there are objective tests and trials that can prove
one product is superior.
The choice of product is determined by the customer. What
we feel is appropriate may not be deemed so by the customer.
We understand this, and supply a variety of manufacturers
products.
The bottom line is that they will all save lives, as long
as they are switched on, and that they have adequate battery
power.
We recommend Zoll for a number of reasons, which we outline
below, but the overriding reason for us is that it is
the only AED available that supports the entire chain of
survival.

This is an important criteria when we consider that the
majority of the users of our AED's will be lay rescuers who
need all the assistance possible when thrust into an emergency
situation. More.... (Ease
